story from Las Vegas

Here's an interesting story on how Las Vegas City Council fights graffiti and how a citizen fights the council that punished him for a crime he did not commit.
Thumbs up for the guy.

big name in street art goes even bigger

Banksy, the legendary street artist from Bristol, has a huge exhibition in the city museum. Really huge. The building is filled with statues, paintings and moving installations, testifying his immense creativity and fantasy. On the funny side, the museum is run by the same City Council that for years tried to persecute Banksy for his works in the city streets...
Open until August 31, 2009.

Lights in the streets

This spring, streets of Prague are illuminated by many a varied lights, thanks to the 'Transparency 2009' project. In various downtown places, light installations from six artists can be found - from love letters on the Old Town Square to mice running on the facade in Dusni Street to a dancer on the side of National Theater or a sculpture made of thousands of illuminated letters.
Here's just a small taster, more info can be found here: http://www.wartprojects.com/ex.html. But the best is to go out and check it live. Let there be light!
