story from Las Vegas

Here's an interesting story on how Las Vegas City Council fights graffiti and how a citizen fights the council that punished him for a crime he did not commit.
Thumbs up for the guy.

Art or vandalism? Discuss here!

To start it off, here's my two cents:
While maybe 99% is vandalism with little or no esthetic value, and often carries an intrusion to someone else's property, there are many cases when it brings life to places that would otherwise be empty, dull and grey... It all depends how it looks like and where it is placed. Of course, the dividing line is in the eye of the beholder. [example] My positive attitude to the better part of street art is hopefully demonstrated by the exhibit at http://home.graffiti.net/pictor/streetart.
So, next time you hold a can in your hand, think twice what you'll make and where you'll put it. Create something beautiful.
